A good start to the year, the first MCVC Breakfast Club of 2019 saw 49 in attendance.
A huge thank you goes to Ann Savage and the ladies of the Rotherham Markets for paying for the meals, from the money raised during the Poppy Cascade Project in November 2018.
A huge thank you as well to Michael and the staff from the Toby Carvery for the excellent service and with putting up with 49 “rowdy” Vets enjoying the fabulous food.
Also amongst those attending were members from the following Regimental Associations, REME, Yorkshire Vols, RAFA and RE. Looking forward to more visits from them in the future.
We also held a minutes silence for one of the MCVC founding members, Jean Philip, who sadly passed away just before Christmas and her funeral was two days ago, our thoughts are with her Daughter and Family.
We also saw the return of Alistair Peter Casey after several months away…..nice to see you tucking into your breakfast !!
Amongst all the banter and the eating of the full English breakfast, a fair bit of networking was achieved by the Rotherham Armed Forces Champion Cllr Ian Jones.

Stop press !!!

We had 50 in attendance, the 50th one who didn’t “sign in” was Toby the Breakfast Club Mascot. He has been reprimanded for his failure!!!
“Normal” service ( whatever normal is ) will resume at the next get together on Saturday 26th January, where it will revert back to all you can eat with unlimited tea or coffee for £5.00
