Good afternoon,
It has been made easier than ever before to get scam websites taken off the internet for good. Many scammers operate fake websites, which will download viruses onto your computer or try to steal your passwords or other personal information. This is sometimes called ‘phishing’. You can report a suspicious website to the National Cyber Security Centre to investigate and by reporting, you can help us stop cyber criminals and protect others online. In 3 easy steps you can report a site, simply visit https://www.ncsc.gov.uk/section/about-this-website/report-scam-website or type into a search engine National Cyber Security Centre and find it on their website. You will need to enter: 1. The website link or URL Do not click on the suspicious link. Carefully copy and paste it, or write it down on paper first if that feels safer. Alternatively, if it’s in an email you can forward it to reporting@phishing.gov.uk. Report and share to help make the internet a safer place for all. |
